WWE Backstage Morale Update Following CM Punk's Return
Latest on WWE's backstage vibes post-Survivor Series 2023.
WWE's backstage morale is in a good place following CM Punk's return to the promotion.
WrestleVotes reports that camaraderie was high at this Monday's Raw taping in Nashville, Tennessee, with one source commenting that energy levels were better than they had been in several years.
The outlet stated that WWE's new Punk era is "off to a great start."
Per the news and rumours account:
I’m told everything at RAW was good last night as far as camaraderie backstage throughout the day in Nashville. One source went as far as to say the energy was as high as it’s been in years. Things look & sound like we’re off to a great start.
Punk sensationally returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023 last weekend, appearing for the promotion for the first time since 2014, ending months of speculation. The late-show cameo came less than three months after AEW had fired him with cause for brawling with Jack Perry at August's All In event.
On the following Monday's Raw, Punk cut a short, simple show-closing promo, signing off by saying "I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to make money," suggesting that the light, sugary sentiments expressed in his promo were a ruse.
