Vince McMahon does not plan on leaving WWE despite recently putting around 25% of his stake in the promotion's governing conglomerate, TKO Group Holdings, up for sale.

SI's Justin Barrasso reports that sources within WWE indicate that the 78-year-old Executive Champion doesn't intend to leave. His decision to sell 8.4 million TKO shares was because he wanted to have the money liquid, not because he is departing - per the writeup.

McMahon has put around $700 million in TKO stock up for sale.

Vince doesn't plan on leaving his work with WWE behind, despite recent changes in his role. Paul 'Triple H' Levesque has regained near-complete creative control of the Sports Entertainment juggernaut, though McMahon retains significant power elsewhere. Currently, McMahon is believed to enjoy a positive working relationship with Endeavor, where he is primarily responsible for handing assignments given to him by company CEO Ari Emanuel.

TKO was formed through WWE's merger with the UFC when Endeavor's formal takeover of the market-leading wrestling promotion closed in September. Though he no longer holds creative power in WWE, McMahon was appointed TKO's Executive Chairman upon the company's formation.
