Vince McMahon Left WWE RAW And Only Returned For The Wedding

So it turns out, Vince McMahon loves a good wedding!

Jerry Lawler has revealed on his latest podcast details about Vince McMahons backstage reaction to the wedding on RAW between Lana and Bobby Lashley. On it he says that it is not uncommon for Vince McMahon to leave TV tapings recently to take some important meetings for the XFL. RAW on Monday was one of these times.

Lawler said that “This thing was so good, it was gonna be so highly anticipated by everybody backstage. Vince had some very important meetings. He doesn’t do this often, but lately, I think with the upcoming XFL about to start and all that sort of stuff, Vince has been torn in so many different directions, and he’s missed several RAWs, and he’s missed several SmackDowns, in the past few weeks. He actually left Hartford, CT at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, and everybody thought he was gone."

He goes on to say that Vince had to leave at 2pm so everyone relaxed and used his office when suddenly at around 5:30pm they were told he was returning and that he "didn't want to miss the wedding".

Lawler was interviewing Rusev on the podcast who also said that "Yeah, I heard that, too. I didn’t know if it was a rumour or not, but that speaks volumes about him because he’s a big fan of weddings.”

Who knew Vince was such a romantic!
