Latest On Drew McIntyre's WWE Future
Could the Scottish Warrior be done with WWE next year?
With Drew McIntyre's current WWE deal due to expire next year, there's now somewhat of an update on the Scottish Warrior's situation.
Per PWInsider.com, McIntyre and WWE have yet to come to terms on a new contract, with the two-time WWE Champion's current deal due to expire shortly after WrestleMania XL in April. This report notes that the two parties have yet to enter "deep discussions" as WWE believes there is still plenty of time to negotiate.
McIntyre is supposedly happy to let his contract expire if needed, with him keen to spend an extended period in his homeland of Scotland should the opportunity arise. Given how Drew has lived in the US for several years, he's only had sparse chances for brief visits home during that time.
Interestingly, Drew McIntyre was said to be extremely upset following the close of WWE Survivor Series last night. That came hot on the heels of CM Punk's shock return to the company following the conclusion of the men's WarGames match, with Fightful Select reporting that McIntyre was "visibly upset", slammed a locker room door, cursed, and left the AllState Arena shortly after the end of the Premium Live Event.
