Here is a situation that ordinarily is over quite quickly, but unfolded for a much longer period of time.

Did Tony Khan book this one?

2 Cold Scorpio Vs. Road Warrior Hawk was the Miro and Kip Sabian Vs. Best Friends (or the Keith Lee Vs. Swerve Strickland) of backstage fights. It went on and on and on and on and on.

It all happened in North Korea as the WCW and NJPW rosters prepared to put on the Collision In Korea shows. Probably not the most fun of overseas tours, the talent, observed constantly, wasn't in great spirits. 2 Cold Scorpio in particular was in a foul mood; he blamed Ric Flair for his WCW career not taking off, and since Flair was afforded the privilege not to ride in a bus with the rest of the "boys", Scorpio loudly badmouthed him in front of anybody who'd listen. When he heard that Flair had requested somebody to ride with him in his luxury car, Scorpio said "F*ck that p*ssy, let him ride by himself".

This incensed Hawk. The fight that erupted outside the hotel was very quickly broken up - that was no time and place - and resumed when, back on the bus, Scorpio refused to apologise. Hawk, yes, sucker-punched Scorpio. The two agreed to do round three back in the States, where there was significantly less chance of their lives being ruined forever.

This never happened - and neither, mercifully, did Scorpio's apparent plan to shank Hawk using a makeshift shiv made out of stainless steel chopsticks.
