Like a lot of things in 2023, tag team wrestling has undergone something of a renaissance under the creative vision of Triple H, but it's due to the injury to partner Erik that Viking Raider Ivar has been able to assemble such an awesome selection of singles matches on Monday Night Raw.

It might not last and - based on the dramatic vignettes designed for him - he might not be under the radar too long, but his run of Raw matches with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods put him in the Intercontinental Title conversation with remarkable ease, and that conversation is thankfully actually relevant again thanks to Gunther's transformative reign.

Ultimately, even if his solo efforts go unrewarded, the least they might do is fuel up The Viking Raiders' Tag Title chances when Erik returns. Based on where they were at in the pecking order 18 months ago, that in itself remains a remarkable achievement.
