10 Greatest Baseball Films Of All Time
9. The Sandlot (1993)
A coming-of-age story about a group of friends bound together by their love for the game. Incorporating the common baseball film theme of nostalgia, The Sandlot follows the various funny and touching adventures of the boys in the early 1960s.
The film's most significant adventure revolves around the lads losing a ball signed by Babe Ruth, which leads to an urgent attempt to try and retrieve it from an extremely aggressive dog, known simply as "The Beast". Charming and light-hearted, it is not difficult to see why this film has become a cult classic.
