WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2023: 10 Things That Must Happen

Randy Orton is back, but WHICH version will fans see at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames?!

A few folks were left disappointed around ringside when Randy Orton didn't make an entrance and drop one of Judgment Day (probably Dominik Mysterio) with an RKO on Raw. WWE kept their powder dry for that moment, and Randy's first appearance in a long time, at Survivor Series this weekend.

Which Orton will show up though?!

Yes, that question is there for dramatic effect, but it's a pertinent one too. Cody Rhodes seems to think that he'll have the laid back RK-Bro or strong leader Randy in his team's corner at WarGames, but there might be more to this than first meets the eye.

This is a big PLE for WWE. Roman Reigns won't be there, and his involvement was the glue holding last year's WarGames return together. Instead, Triple H will have to rely on some killer undercard matches and two double cage blockbusters to make 2023's Survivor Series every bit as good.

There's a ton that must happen in Chicago. WWE can even have a giggle with those who think a certain hometown hero will be in the house. A little wink and a nod wouldn't hurt...would it?

10. Women’s WarGames Opens The Show

Sorry, but the women's WarGames bout is definitely the weaker of the two. In fact, it wouldn't be a huge miss if WWE had booked something else instead; perhaps a standard elimination match would've worked better instead of cramming this inside the cage just because it's November and it'll be there anyway.

Too late for that now!

Shotzi, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair vs. the new version of Damage CTRL must kick things off on Saturday night. Again, it's the lesser of the two caged collisions, and WWE definitely doesn't want to go back to back on these things and dilute the appeal.

They should be kept as far apart as possible. Besides, the women's scrap would have a better chance of playing before a rowdy live crowd if it's the first thing those people see on the PLE. Give this one a fighting chance, Hunter. Then, start wheels in motion towards 'Mania.
