Former WWE star Sunny has been sentenced 17 years in prison on charges of DUI and manslaughter.

The WWE Hall of Fame inductee (real name: Tamara Lynn Sytch) was sentenced in Volusia County, Florida on Monday. Judge Karen A. Foxman decreed Sytch is to serve 10.6625 years for the charge of driving under a suspended license and causing death or bodily injury, consecutively with another seven years for DUI manslaughter second-degree felony.

Sytch is to receive 566 days credit for the time she has already spent in prison.

On other misdemeanour charges, Sytch was sentenced to 364 days - and she'll also be on probation for eight years post-incarceration.

Sytch's situation stems from an incident in March 2022, when she is alleged to have driven her car, at a high speed, into one driven by 75-year-old Julian L. Lasseter. Lasseter, who had stopped at a traffic light, died on the scene.

In August, Sytch pleaded no-contest to DUI causing death, driving with a suspended license causing death, and other misdemeanour charges. The prosecution had sought the maximum sentence of 25 years, given Sytch's history of prior offences.
