The resort told fans over Twitter that KidZone's Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster, Fievel's Playground and the Curious George Goes To Town playground will be shutting on 15th January to make way for new attractions.

The park also confirmed that the DreamWorks Destination and Shrek & Donkey meet and greets would be closing their doors forever on 15th January too.

As of yet we don't know what will be replacing these long loved attractions. Universal Orlando Resort did confirm that the replacement would, like its predecessors, provide "family entertainment" and "immerse guests in the adventures of beloved animated characters".

E.T. Adventure fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the Universal Orlando Resort confirmed that the opening day attraction wouldn't be closing. It was also confirmed that Animal Actors on Location and the SpongeBob Store Pants (including the meet and greet) would remain open.

The changes in KidZone at Universal Studios Florida aren't the only big things coming to the parks soon. With new theme park Epic Universe opening in Orlando and Nintendo World coming to Hollywood there's plenty to be excited about.
