Jack Torrance, his wife Wendy, and son Danny move into the isolated Overlook Hotel as he agrees to become the caretaker over winter. However, while Jack Nicholson's character tries to focus on his writing, the history of the hotel keeps getting in the way. From creepy twins and elevator bloodbaths to mazes in the snow, the Torrance family were put through hell in the remote hotel in the Rockies.
