Yuka Sakazaki has arrived in Miami, Florida ahead of tonight's Road Rager show.

The TJPW stalwart posted a video of her hotel suite to Instagram on Tuesday, confirming she was in town.

Interesting timing, given that TJPW recently announced that Sakazaki would be returning to AEW for an excursion sometime in July, though no timescale was provided. Now, it looks like she is edging closer to a comeback.

Sakazaki last appeared for AEW as part of the Women's World Title Eliminator Tournament, where she ran the Japanese side of the bracket before falling to Ryo Mizunami. Mizunami then progressed to win the competition, toppling Nyla Rose at the final stage before advancing to Revolution 2021, where she fell to Women's World Champion Hikaru Shida.

Prior to this, Sakazaki worked the original Double Or Nothing in 2019, Fight for the Fallen the following month, before returning for a brief, brutal feud with current Women's Champion Britt Baker in February. The duo's most memorable moment together saw Baker pull some of Yuka's teeth out via her Lockjaw finisher. This gives AEW material to reprise, though Baker is currently feuding with Rose.
