PES 2019 Review: 5 Reasons It's Awesome
4. Master League Transfer Negotiations
With new editions comes new features, and one of the most notable changes to the Master League this year is the tweak to player negotiations.
Typically in previous instalments of the game, the opening negotiations were all instigated by the mystical, hidden entity that was your club negotiator. Basically, you'd say 'Start Negotiations', negotiations would start, and a few days later you'd either be given the first initial terms that the player/other club wanted, or a massive 'f**k you'.
If it was indeed the latter, that could be rather frustrating, especially when you never really got to know why they were saying 'no'. Were the player/other club just being stubborn, or was your negotiator, in fact, an absolute f**king chancer?
Either way, that doesn't matter anymore, because this year PES has introduced a new system at the beginning of negotiations, whereby you actually get to dictate proceedings from the very start. You get full control of all the details - transfer fees/player salaries/bonuses etc. - and a percentage indication of how likely both player and club are to accept the deal.
Now obviously, this is something that you were able to tinker with in previous games, but that was always after the club negotiator had broken the ice. This way, you get a much clearer indication of the factors involved from the get go, and you're not wasting precious days in the transfer window.
Goodbye vague rejections, hello new signings.
