New Champions Crowned At WWE Fastlane 2023
These titles changed hands at Saturday's PLE.
First-time tag partners Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes are your new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, defeating the Judgment Day at Fastlane Saturday night.
The duo overcame not just Finn Balor and Damian Priest, but also the extracurricular shenanigans of Dominik Mysterio, Rhea Ripley and JD McDonagh - though JD would provide an unintended assist by accidentally smashing Priest's knee with the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Rhodes and Uso have been embroiled in a feud with the purple-clad warriors for quite some time, mostly alongside Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The Canadians lost the Tag Titles to Balor and Priest last month at Payback, and they were unable to regain them on Raw a couple of weeks ago.

The match delivered a double blow to Priest, who had intended to cash in his MITB briefcase on the winner of the Last Man Standing main event between Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura, since whoever emerged from that bout would likely be easy pickings. But the Punisher's buggered knee prompted the rest of Judgment Day to convince him to hold off and wait until the timing was better.
Now that they have the Tag Titles, Cody and Jey are free to show up on either Raw or SmackDown -- though that didn't seem to matter on Friday night with both showing up on the blue brand -- so there could be a confrontation with Roman Reigns on the horizon later this week. Time will tell.
