CM Punk reacted well to having time cut from his return promo on this Monday's WWE Raw, reports Fightful Select.

The outlet notes that Punk's in-ringer, which took place in Raw's show-closing slot, had to be cut short as Randy Orton's match with Dominik Mysterio went long. Despite this, one of Fightful's sources has indicated that Punk's "reaction to that appeared to be fine."

No producer was listed for Punk's promo, which took a lighter, more positive tone than some fans may have expected, and closed on the 45-year-old saying "I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to make money" down the camera.

Another source knew the promo's overall direction without claiming that it was scripted. They stated that no shots at Punk's former home, AEW, were expected.

Punk's line claiming that "everyone is happy I'm here" may have been tongue-in-cheek, Fightful states, as some people within WWE went against it. Nonetheless, Punk appears to have been in a good mood, joking with people at Gorilla Position before hitting the ring.

Survivor Series 2023 hosted CM Punk's WWE return after nine years away, coming less than three months after his AEW dismissal.
