Every Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights House 2023 - Ranked
8. The Darkest Deal
The House
Blues musician Pinestraw Spruce makes a deal with The Collector; his soul for fame and fortune. You follow in the footsteps of Spruce as he gets everything he's ever wanted, only for The Collector to return and claim what is now his.
The Verdict
The Darkest Deal featured at the bottom of our hype list, mostly because we weren't sure of what to expect. The house definitely didn't deserve to feature at the bottom now we've experienced it!
This house is placed in a location that always has a huge facade and this year was really no exception. We entered the house into a bar where we saw the deal between Spruce and The Collector being struck.
There are rather detailed sets in this house with Spruce on stage performing at multiple times. There are also plenty of dark creatures and patrons in the bar. We loved the characters sent by The Collector. The scare actors in this house were particularly great, especially the actor playing Spruce early on who gave a great performance as the blues singer.
Although there were great moments in this house, the nature of it meant that compared to others it felt a little repetitive with Spruce appearing on different stages as you journeyed. Though the house does take a dramatic setting change the closer you get to the end, with scary results.
Overall, we thought this was a really great house, and if this finished in your personal top 5 we certainly wouldn't argue with you. This year was incredibly tough to rank.
