8 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (November 29 - Results & Review)
Downs...
2. They Simply Do Not Care Or Try
It's never going to get any better, is it?
The AEW women's division is a cliché that is now descending far beyond parody. It is the easiest game of bingo ever called.
This 'Down', it should be stated, has little to do with the efforts of the women involved, though Julia Hart Vs. perennial loser Emi Sakura was hardly outstanding. Some of Hart's strikes looked far too gentle, and it looked as though Sakura, the veteran, had to roll into the moonsault finish, making it look like an ill-fated reversal attempt, to prevent Hart from missing it entirely.
The entry has everything to do with how apathetic this all is and will continue to be. There's just a criminal lack of thought and passion. Emi Sakura is a great wrestler, but she functions exclusively to eat pins for new champions attempting to "establish" their reign.
Was Nyla Rose too busy? How about Marina Shafir?
There's always next week. You'll fill that line soon enough. Everybody wins at AEW women's division bingo, except the women. This is Kris Statlander's reign, already, again. In AEW, various women simply play the role of "Person we book because we have to, for the optics".
