Downs...

4. AEW's Latest Useless Squash

Powerhouse Hobbs working squashes isn't the worst thing in the world, but it does feel like we should be past that point by now. Rampage served up a variation on the theme; this wasn't a Hobbs solo squash. He hammered a few enhancement workers alongside Don Callis Family pals Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita.

Cool.

No, seriously, that's cool but...someone needs to explain why this kind of content is always crammed onto a one hour show. Tony Khan loves bunging squashes onto Rampage when they blatantly don't fit, and this was the latest example of that awkward formatting. Hey, if nothing else, at least it was too short for a pic-in-pic ad break!

This trios match was a complete waste of everyone's time. Post-match, Don Callis did some yakking about Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega, then Fletcher and Takeshita smiled at one another knowing they'd just earned the easiest payoffs of their careers.
