9. Nemesis - Resident Evil 3 (2020)
In the original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Jill Valentine encountered the titular monster within the first 15 minutes. This confrontation caught many players off-guard, since it was assumed Nemesis wouldn't show his ugly mug until much later.
However, his introduction in RE3's remake is far more unexpected, since the STARS-hunting brute pops up less than five minutes in. While Jill is still trying to get her bearings in her room, the lumbering bioweapon barges through a wall and immediately starts chasing her.
At this point, even the most seasoned veterans of Resident Evil are unprepared, since they haven't had a chance to explore the city, collect weapons, or pick up any herbs. In fact, they haven't left Jill's apartment yet. Since first-timers won't know what to do or where to go, they're probably going to die a couple of times during this confrontation.
