10. Bruce Willis
What He Was Doing Ten Years Ago: Making Die Hard sequels/rip offs. Many people dont realise that Bruce Willis was going completely against type when he took the role of John McClaine in the first Die Hard. He was a TV actor whose only notable cinematic outings had been in comedies. But once that gamble (for him and the studio) hit big there was a new path set for him. Youd think after a decade of heading up action films, however, an actor would try something new, what with aging and all. But as we moved deeper into the new millennium, Willis just continued in the same, predictable vein.
What Hes Doing Now: Making Die Hard sequels/rip offs. And hes still at it today. Despite nearing sixty hes still a mainstay of action cinema. The Die Hard franchise has been revived and while roles in Cop Out, RED and Expendables may be highlighting his age, they still give him chunky action roles with none of the depth youd want at this point in your career. There have admittedly been glimpses of something more (MoonriseKingdom being the standout), but for the most part Willis seems happy to fall back on the action genre. I guess buying all that music you dont own is expensive.
