10 Times Video Games WASTED Big Actors

1. 12 Minutes - James McAvoy

And finally, we have one of the most confusing castings in recent memory. For a game like 12 Minutes that was marketed on the names it had somehow obtained, this one really does waste them.

Now sure, Willem Dafoe can escape this criticism as he is basically playing himself, and unlike Walken he's putting the effort in. Daisy Ridley is honestly just there, with her performance only slightly sounding different to that of Rey, but with less comedic overtones. Then we have James McAvoy whom unless advertised, you wouldn’t know he was even there.

McAvoy has a vast back catalogue to choose from his most of his performances normally always hitting, even in certain films that were honestly not worthy of his time. But in 12 Minutes, the Scotsman was directed to drop his accent entirely meaning that he sounded unrecognisable.

This is an issue as that is one of his defining features and why fans like him so much. Even when he holds it back for some movie roles.

12 Minutes should’ve embraced his Scottish roots or simply hired someone else.
