As soon as Bill Murray was announced in an undisclosed role in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, fans speculated relentlessly on who the Ghostbuster star would be portraying.

However, nobody expected him to be playing Krylar - an obscure character who only appeared in Incredible Hulk #156. In this issue, our titular hero finds himself in a sub-atomic world, where the tyrannical Visis is preparing to usurp the throne. When Visis sees the Jade Giant interfering with his plans, he allies with a scientist called Krylar. Using a device that manifests subconscious insecurities into reality, Krylar forces the Hulk to face his greatest fear - a deranged version of himself.

Because Krylar is a generically written baddie who died in the same issue he debuted in, you can understand why even the biggest comic fans have never heard of him. As a result, it's not clear how Krylar will fit into the story of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

But with the comedic talents of Murray, Krylar is sure to be among the most entertaining and memorable characters in the eagerly anticipated sequel.
