10 Movies That Had The Balls To Do It Better (AND WANTED YOU TO KNOW)

In fairness, neither Deadpool movie has been shy about espousing their abject disdain for Ryan Reynolds' previous bungled, curtailed tenure as the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, where he better resembled Baraka from the Mortal Kombat games and had his characteristic motormouth sewn shut.

The first Deadpool movie threw some slyer shade at the prior iteration by having an action figure of "Barakapool" visible roughly 30 minutes in, basically nudging the audience in the ribs and telling them, "Ha! Remember that crap? Yeah, me neither."

But Deadpool 2 went the whole meta hog and took things to a more wonderfully deranged level, as in the mid-credits scene, Deadpool (Reynolds) uses Cable's (Josh Brolin) fixed time-traveling device to track down the Barakapool version of himself, interrupt the events of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and shoot him dead before Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) can get his claws on him.

Is there anything ballsier than straight-up murdering your lamer prior self to prove beyond any doubt that you've done it better this time? Most movies of course couldn't get away with it, but Deadpool's no normal movie franchise.
