You could pretend you don't know what a porn parody is, but we've all seen them. Or at least, er, heard of them. They've existed for almost as long as pornography itself: a (sometimes incredibly) loose remake of a film or television show as performed by adult film actors and featuring a plot that always, without fail, leads to two or more characters getting it on. Whereas parodies used to come up with punnerific titles like Buffy the Vampire Layer or The Witches of Breastwick, now the studios are far more content just to use the name of the thing their parodying, followed by XXX: A PORN PARODY, just in case someone might thing the low-budget Spider-Man movie starring a bunch of scantily-clad people they've never heard of was the real thing. But knowing that you're about to watch smut isn't the same as knowing what you're in for. Porn parodies have seen a major resurgence of late, thanks largely to the popularity of sci-fi and superhero movies and an apparently popular desire to see the characters in them take their clothes off onscreen. As a result, there have been a bunch of movies made that most would consider unthinkable, coming as they do from children's cartoons or horror movies, which aren't classically sexy material.
