10 Horror Films Much Weirder Than You Remember

9. Army Of The Dead

When a movie is called "Army of the Dead", horror fans are expecting it to be about zombies. Although that is the case, Zack Snyder's undead blockbuster finds time to explore other matters, including aliens and time-travel. Some viewers draw a blank when these moments are mentioned, since they're only briefly glimpsed at.

The opening scene has two UFOs hovering in the sky, which are never referenced. Since they appear in the background for two seconds, the flying saucers are easy to miss, which makes one wonder why they were included in the first place.

But that's not all. That whole discussion about being trapped in a time-loop? Doesn't go anywhere. The revelation that the undead can procreate? Never brought up again.

Just when it looks like the Watchmen director couldn't stuff in any more underdeveloped subplots, a flesh-eating cyborg is thrown into the climax. The brain-munching Terminator is taken out immediately after and, you guessed it, is never mentioned again.

As interesting as these concepts are, even the biggest Army of the Dead fans forgot about them, since they were barely touched upon.
