Classic Final Fantasy's dungeons have long since held a reputation for getting cute with their puzzles. But while confusing, most of them lead you on a linear path straight to the end, so you never have to worry about getting lost.

And then there's the Bevelle Cloister of Final Fantasy X.

The other cloisters can be their own brand of annoying, but the sliding floor puzzle that dominates the Bevelle Cloister is absolutely maddening.

For one thing, all the magical wireframe hallways of the cloister look exactly the same, so it's hard to memorize where you're going. While the moving panels do indicate to you which direction they're going, which does help, you'll still find yourself constantly doubling back to an area you've already done because you forgot your place.

While not the hardest place to work your way around due to the floor puzzle giving you limited directions to move around in, the Bevelle Cloister is still an infamous section of this otherwise legendary RPG.
